Is it normal to really like physical contact with guy friends?

I'm a straight girl but I'm really close with a guy I've known for over a year, since my freshman year in college. Is it normal to want to cuddle with him or be touched by him (not sexually) in a completely different way than my female friends even if I don't have feelings for him?

    I love hugging girls, it's almost like you're one puzzle piece and they're the other. If they're shorter, they just tuck right into your chest and you can wrap them up in your arms.

    I know what you mean, it's nice to be hugged by a guy sometimes even if your not attracted to them.

    My cousin's then fiance last christmas hugged me (it had been so long since a guy hugged me I'd forgotten what it felt like) and it was the most nicest feeling.

    I have no feelings for him whatsoever or physical attraction to him but it was sweet and made me feel happy. I don't know how else to explain it.
