Is it normal to really like best guy friend?

So, i'll try to be as descriptive as possible. I'm a teenage bisexual male, yet i don't really tell people unless they ask because i don't really let all my personal information go to people i know or in social areas. Anyways, I have this guy friend who ive known for about a year now and hes pretty amazing. Excellent, intelligent, muscular, very cute, hazel eyes, guitar player, literate and most of all, pretty interested in what i have to say. But i know that hes straight and i really wouldn't stand a chance telling him how I feel, but i'm kinda fine with it. It just kinda torments me when I think about it, because i just feel that there is something, at least in my mind, between us, and i REALLY dont know what to do. Im severly confused, any help? is it normal?

Try to compartmentalize your feelings for him. View him as a perfect example of what you wish to find in a partner, but don't allow the fantasy to go any further than that.

But dude, if he's straight, then he's straight. If you don't respect that because of your own feelings, then that sort of makes you a little selfish.

You could tell him how you feel, but if he's straight, he most likely will not reciprocate your feelings despite caring for you.
