Is it normal to really hate country music?

I sincerely hate country music, I have even created a theory that country music isn't really 'real music' because every country music artist has almost the same instrumental background put to lyrics that either talk about love, beer, the opposite sex, farming, trucks, or dogs. When my friend sings country songs I get up and walk away because the sound and lyrics upset me so much.

    I LOVE country music but can't stand Taylor Swift!!! Keith Urban is amazing and alot more rockish. He kicks ass on an electric guitar!

    I can't stand country music, though I have to deal with it cause my gf listens to it. I don't know, but it seems to me as if all these modern country musicians are trying hard as hell to act like rock stars (a term I HATE.) Seems like it's just a bunch of flash and cliched concepts lyrically.

    I hate country music with a passion but my gf loves. But I have found I love cady groves who has some country twist in some of her songs..

    I feel the same way about rap, but I guess i can't really relate to it. I don't listen to solely country music but I wouldn't say your distaste for the genre isn't normal... Everyone has different taste in music. You'd probably walk out of the room if I put on my Tom Waits albums lol

    Well I'm a cuntry singer...but there is allot of country that doesent sound like the artist is choaking. Carrie underwood. Some nickleback songs r considered country.

    Nickleback is good , don't hate! And country is also very good music , it's that stupid Rap I can't stand. Ugh, they don't even know what to come up with anymore so they repeat the same six words fir 80% of a "song"
