Is it normal to react vehemently to pain, even if it's not agonizing?

Often when I hurt myself, I often scream like I am in agony, even if it is just a slight injury. Really, the pain isn't that bad, and it's not even close to agony. However, I react vehemently to say stubbing a toe, even though usually the pain isn't that extreme.

Is this normal?

Nevermind them, they just misinterpreted your eloquence by a intellectual vanity of sorts, couldn't find a word for that.

  • Sometimes when I drop something I'm holding and it doesn't even hit my foot I still yell ouch instinctively.

Do research about it. I doubt you'll find a specialized PhD in here. Search for neuropathic pain. Discuss this with your Doc as long as possible.
