Is it normal to react strongly to the words he/him/his?

I'm not quite sure how to explain this, but here goes:

Whenever I read the word he/his/him online, I feel kind of...jealous for some reason. It's some kind of mental fixation I have. I have felt somehow disappointed for being female for a couple of years now, and basically have an inferiority complex to males.

So whenever I read the words he/his/him, I automatically ASSUME that whatever guy is being referenced is good-looking AND intelligent AND a good person AND hardworking and has all these other good qualities. I start feeling inferior even though I don't even know him. It's not logical but I don't know how to stop.

Are you familiar with the saying, "assuming makes an ass out of you and me"?
You are so lucky that in this day and age so many fewer things are gender restrictive. Just because you are a girl, does not mean you have limited options. In many cases, it can be advantageous. For instance, I have always preferred to hire females to work for me on boats. They come to work better groomed, they work harder when given an opportunity to work in a predominately "male" occupation, and they certainly are more attractive than any guy, especially in the boat uniforms. They are better at relating to females and children passengers and rarely make passes at passengers.
It's your world today, so take advantage of it.

  • Don't worry. "He" is nowadays, in most cases some unappreciated depressed loser who aimlessly walks down the street unnoticed, lost in a crowd of superficial, self centered figures.

From all living elements surrounding you , "HE" is definitely not the one you should envy or be jealous about.
