Yes--depersonalization, and derealization, are ordinary psychological experiences, affecting mentally healthy people.
I used to get the feeling that suddenly I was watching myself, and everything I was doing, on TV. Sometimes this actually amused me--but as often as not, it really scared me. At least, it usually felt very, very weird. It happened like once every six months, or so--once, conversely, I felt like I wasn't real at all, and forgot who I was, and forgot WHAT I was, and forgot WHAT IT MEANT "TO BE." This lasted like 25-30 seconds. Mercifully--this weird stuff PASSES.
But depersonalization is analogous to finding moles on your skin--these things happen to EVERYBODY, to HEALTHY PEOPLE--but SOMETIMES a new mole IS a sign of skin cancer--sometimes depersonalization IS a sign of mental illness... I'd GUESS--this isn't medical advice--that you might worry about it only if it starts happening noticeably more frequently. There's always that slight chance you're batshit crazy. That's part of the fun of being human: for any one of us--there's always that chance that we're just f---ing CRAZY. ...but, usually, what you're describing is very, very NORMAL.
Omg! I thought I was the only one that experienced that. I asked my roommate one time about it and she looked at me like I was crazy! It's really weird cause one minute you're looking at something and the next everything gets cloudy and you are looking at yourself. I also get this in dreams too.
^So do I! I can imagine what it's like to be the person I'm talking to. It's cool.
I think you're probably more normal than you think. Are you creative in any way? I'm not sure if it has much to do with it, but I'm really imaginative. Some people can't do it due to lack of imagination, I'd think.
Yeahhhhh i do that, I also can like be sitting next to someone n i go sorta blank and it's as if I'm the other person sitting were there sitting looking threw there eyes. REALLY WEIRD lol interesting tho
it's called detachment...
It is like you detach for a moment from being in your head, detaching yourslef from all ideas and artificial stuff that society put in your head.
Could be astral projection too but that would be like 1/100
Out of body experience, for sure! Very very cool! Not everyone can do it.
Sounds like depersonalization. Check this out.

Oh man I do this all the time. Especially when I'm looking into a mirror. It feels like I'm not looking into the mirror but feels like I'm looking at me looking into the mirror. Weird
