Is it normal to randomly hear a high pitched noise

When I'm just lying down or sat down I suddenly hear an irritating high pitched noise. I ask anyone else can they hear but they say no. Does this ever happen to anyone else?

  • I have the ability to slightly hear dog wistles. At the end of the Beatles song "A Day in the Live" Ringo plays a dog wistle, and when I put my ear up against the speaker on my laptop, I hear it, really softly. It sounds almost like absolute silence, and I can tune it out really easily.

sounds like tinnitus. but maybe you're part dog or superman and you have the ability to hear high pitched sounds that regular humans can't.
