Is it normal to randomly feel this way for 10 seconds?

So.. for example I'll be having an awesome night whether it be with my family having a exciting conversation or driving home with my boyfriend listening to our song...

I'll suddenly get this random feeling that lasts for 10 seconds. Like.. I suddenly feel isolated and very awkward like I don't actually know the people that I'm with and that I just want to be alone. I feel like I'm another race or even a whole new species and I can't relate to them at all. Its also a feeling of embarrassment.

Soo.. all in all I feel isolated, alone, awkward and embarrassed at the same time, randomly for a total of 10 seconds.

Is that normal?

i know this feeling , i used to have it a lot when i was younger , know it's rare.
you also say something and feel it's meaningless .
i love this feeling very much , it's nice to have something different even for short periods.
my advice , don't be afraid , it's very normal , enjoy it , you will miss it soon.

it happens to me but only when im well baked off the green stuff and it can last up to an hour, it feels like you suddeny realise something in your head then it just goes away it is deeply unsettling. it could be your subconcious trying to communicate with you who knows they say we only use 9 per cent of our brain i dont think theres anything wrong with you mentally

    • Bipolar? This sounds nothing like bipolar. Maybe you should look it up yourself before making uneducated statements. Actually this sounds like normal anxiety symptoms. Probablly not even severe enough to meet a diagnosis for anything and completely normal.

Yes. I know almost exactly what you mean, though as I've gotten older it happens only (or most acutely) when I smoke the ganja. I would say embarrassment isn't a big part of it, but sometimes self consciousness.

i understand where your coming from i often sometimes get that way as well to can be having a great time doing whatever it is that im doing then just suddnely get this off feeling tho mine last longer than 10 it be something that you feel that you are missing or isnt there uncertainty setting in but dont let it get you down a lot of people get that feeling its not uncommon its just being to control the emotion and not let it get the better of you
