Is it normal to purposely wake up at midnight just to eat?
I do it all the time, usually at 12 to 2 a.m. I get up hungry usually for cereal or a sandwich then I head back to sleep.

You have some great self discipline to get out of a comfy bed in the middle of the night. Since you are burning an intense amount of calories and you are exercising more than the usual person, I would say your metabolism is just very revved up. You are needing more calories than the typical person and at regular intervals. So, this sounds pretty normal.
Now, if you were a Cartman on the other hand... I would be suggesting a chastity belt for the poor fridge you are molesting.
WOW. First of all I'm not fat I'm actually doing track and throwing and have a crazy body. Second, I thought everyone has an occasional midnight snack.
i had a friend who left a full unopened box of chocolates beside her bed in the morning they were gone, she had eaten them in her sleep and she had chocolate smeared on her face and pillow. we got a lot of millage out of that one
It's normal. Your body's simply telling you what it needs. You were probably really hungry. Lol.
Does it effect your life? I don't see why it would be an issue. You probably need the energy if you actually are running track.
I rarely eat in the middle of the night but I have done it, especially if I stay up really late. So I guess you sound normal.
Bodybuilders will sometimes do that because they are trying to constantly keep protein in their digestive tract for optimal muscle growth.
Total calories consumed in 24 hours is more important than when you eat the calories.
