Is it normal to punch or kick stuff when you're angry?

When I'm angry or upset I always feel the need to punch or hit something ( or someone )? Sometimes it hurts my hand or foot when I do this. I've also kicked a hole in my wall due to this and I'm not sure if anyone else does this? And I sometimes hit my thighs or waist. Is it normal? Are there better ways with coping with my anger and frustration?

    There are better/healthier ways of dealing with anger. Being destructive toward your environment only hurts you. It's a good idea to take a two fold approach. Reduce or remove what makes you angry, even if it's just taking something to that point of losing control. Also remove the external anger. You already want to hit something, so work out and hit the gym. Take up boxing even. Parks are free if money is an object, go run. You have options and online is a good resource.
