Is it normal to pretend to talk to people?

Sometimes when I'm alone, I pretend that other people are with me and I'm having conversations with them. I pretend that they're there and I'm having conversations with them that I wish I could have with them and make up situations that I wish I was in. Is that normal?

Who do you pretend talk with? Are these people you know, or people you made up?

Just wondering, I don't think it's very common but it's not a bad thing.

Dude I do this all the time. Especially when I'm angry. It's like venting to someone who won't judge you. Or rehearse conversations before I go meet or to hangout with someone.

i do this but with real people in my head, like if i know im going to be hanging out with someone ill rehearse a conversation so we dont have any awkward silences. i dont think its overly weird at all, kind of like self therapy. listening and talking to someone who you know** will not judge you or make fun of you. a lot cheaper than a therapist (:
