Is it normal to prepare my apartment in case i die?

This came up last week when I was reading a list of "signs that you may be suicidal"...which I am totally not, by the way! But one of the things on the list was "You are constantly getting things ready for when you die" And I realized that I totally do this recently!! Maybe the past year or so, I started going through my closet, my bookcase, everything....sorting out all of the junk/garbage and just spring cleaning...But in the back of my mind I'm imagining if I died and my roomate, my parents, my family had to sort through it all, mainly my art and sketchbooks, because I feel like those things would be what matter only...by the way, I'm only 22 and in good health...this is kind of cryptic, right?

Totally normal. Suicidal people intentionally prepare things, it is not subconscious at all!!!

Why do you have a preoccupation with your own death? I get randomly suicidal and yet I don't prepare for my death (at least, not in the ways of which you speak) nearly enough xD

Yeah, you're right, you'd leave behind your art. It's nice that you have something that will still be here when you're gone.

Stop thinking about it so much! Death is inevitable. Anything could happen - we could get run over one day or something - but we shouldn't let that take over our lives. The time spent "preparing for your death" could be much better used actually living! There is so much more to life than spring cleaning.

Go on. Be a slob. I know you want to ;) Hahahahahaha

It's not REALLY normal, but I can totally understand people doing this. I do it. Maybe not to the extremes of actually preparing things, but the thought always flies into my head of "What if I were to die tomorrow, what would people have to go through".

I keep others in my best interest, I wouldn't want to leave people hanging. Maybe now that you're old enough to have responsibilities, and other people that care about your welfare, you are just subconsciously making their lives easier if they ever had to live without you.
