Is it normal to prefer to date ppl of another race over your own?

At least u don't have to worry about some family tree incest

We are white and I fully expect my son to marry a dark skinned girl coz he loves the colour of their skin. I don't have any thoughts on it at all, as long as they are happy together.

Not necessarily caucasian, but I get this too. Mainly because the guys of my race remind me so much of either my dad, uncles or cousins.

Well, it's normal, but you might have to consider what influences made you like that. For instance, I know that there are some beautiful black women in the world, but I don't look at them too often because of the school I went to. In said school, the African American girls were pushy, mean, and always seemed to insult my hair style. The Caucasian ones, were quite nicer to me. Therefore, I leaned toward a white preference. I think that if I had gone to an all black school, I may have different preference now. . .even if only slightly.
