Is it normal to prefer men with acne?

I prefer men with acne as opposed to men with good (or at least regular) skin types. Something about them makes it seem more attractive to me, not even in their looks, but in personality.
I have bad acne myself, and I'm thinking that I like a man with acne and scars from it because of that reason.

  • Something in common that you two have suffered with, ^^ normal. I've had bad acne recently too.

Yeah, it's nice to have a partner with similar experiences. Makes it easier to understand each other.

Regardless of what djpatties says: acne is not something you should be ashamed of. However, be sure to visit a dermatologist before you develop scars.

I had pretty bad acne myself. I'm currently finishing my accutane course and my face is looking mighty fine, save for a few temporary scars.

Speaking about accutane: don't get scared by all those forum post saying that accutane will mess up your body. While on your course you'll often have chapped lips, which sucks balls, but it's worth it in the long run. I've taken drugs with way worse side-effects than accutane.

Anyway, if you want to talk about it, feel free to message me. It's not like you'll get much support from these trolls looking for an ego-boost.

I understand. I've had bad acne for most of my life and I've never thought acne made a man less attractive. Also, I feel I can identify with a man who has skin problems.

ugh... sorry. I understand why, and it makes total sense.

  • Well sorry to hear about your skin problems, do people call you pepperoni pizza face ever?

Anyway, pimplestiltskin, having acne isnt something to celebrate, and while its normal to want some who you feel comfortable with (as in a fellow zit farmer like you are) I would suggest not having kids with them as your kids will almost have terrible acne as well.

Like attracts like. Nowadays the new age douche bags call it the Law of Attraction.

You probably feel more comfortable and less self conscious around them, I had a bf with worse acne then me and I never worried about mine, now I'm with the love of my life and he has amazing skin but I got over it (well he helped me) get over my self consciousness and I don't ever think about it anymore because he made me feel secure :) does that make sense hahaha??

My husband and I both have mild acne, but only because we're always filthy from working outside and stuff. I don't see why acne would be a factor in liking or not liking someone though. It certainly never came across MY mind when I was dating my DH. :/
