Is it normal to prefer one child to the other?

I have these two neighbor girls (four and three years old) and I prefer ally to beth.
Beth just bugs the almighty shit outta me and i can't stand to be around her but her sister Ally just makes my day everytime I see her.

And with my cousins, I have two baby cousins (three and two years old) and they both are cute but i prefer Cole to Luke.

It's their personalities i think but i ahve always picked favorites when it comes to small children.

Is it normal?
