Is it normal to poo in a hotel while your boyfriend is there ?

Be an adult and say...gotta poop. Then there is no surprise stench to smack him across his face. No awkwardness no embarrassment. You've already called yourself out.

Lighting a match does help with the smell. It masks it and all you smell is the burnt match.

I had to do this at a hotel once when having a weekend out with my gf. Not to be crass or anything but it was so massive that the toilet couldn't flush & I had to call the front desk to get someone to fix it. Now that's embarrassing!

My me and my boyfriend hate using the bathroom on the same level of the house --god knows why, I think it's just habit now.
Get up early to go before your morning shower, go when you go for bunch/dinner to avoid going in the room. There are ways.

i have a room mate we understand each other and who can hold it while the other uses the toilet. We do not hide our needs at any time it is called be honest with each other.

Shower by yourself. Then when the waters on, go for it.

He isn't going to care, and if you are so worried about your poop stinking, ease up on sugar, carbs and meat. They produce stinky gas and poops. Vegetables and beans produce obnoxious loud farts but they are always good for free entertainment. Go to a fart website. They are hilarious. Girly girls fart and poop too. you're human.

I used to have the same worry! its funny bcuz now were at the point where we both shit with the door open and fart in front of eachother no problem.. (only if hes spooning me ill roll over and fart in the oppisite direction bcuz THAT would be rude!) only if I dart while hes eating he gets annoyed. lol at this point I would suggest leaving the water running and light a match if ur worried about the smell. just say u need ro use the restroom. no biggie.

As long as you only do it in the toilet, it's perfectly normal.

Just tell him, "give me a few minutes before the shower - I gotta take a dump." Most likely he'll give you privacy, and even let the bathroom air out a little before hopping in the shower.

As everyone said theres nothing to be embarrassed about. First of all tell him it's the kind of things that makes you shy, if he doesnt know already. Everyone has to go "poo" it's a part of life. It's nothing to be embarrassed about. I know it's awkward at first but it's going to happen eventually. Might as well get it out of the way before you go on your trip. My brothers gf was the same way. But now she will Dutch oven him with out a second thought.
