Actually I do this because I don't have much hair there. The maximun is a dozen hair per armpit so I pluck them. At first it was painful but now I love the feeling, it makes me drowsy.
Imagine what people did 1400 years ago, they did exactly that to have a better hygiene.
It is not so bad once you get used to it. I have done it. and it does take longer for it to grow back. I finally got tired of doing that or shaving and got one of those Silkn Flash and Go IPL devices and now I never have to shave my underarms at all! Many people pluck hair out on various parts of their body, so yes, it is normal.
It isn't as common but there isn't anything wrong with it.
I also use an Emjoi epilator for plucking out hair just about anywhere. It is wonderful.
Buy an epilator. I use the the Emjoi brand. Got it from Amazon. Its normal. My hair doesn't grow back until after a month or so. Plus i dont have as much hair growth anymore(its ALOT lighter). Its also alot faster than using tweezers... essentially does the same thing(pull the hair out by the root). Invest in one, you wont regret. :)
I guess it could be normal but I don't know why anyone would want to. Shaving them takes like 5 seconds
Waxing is the same. It's just a different way of pulling it out from the root
