I am male and often play as females in games when I think that the guys look too cheesy (most of the time in my opinion...) In most RPGs and Open Worlds with custom characters I pick a girl character.

Another thing I am sort of ashamed of is that a huge selling point for me is a female protagonist. It really isn't because of sexual interest or anything like that, I just like playing as a cool/cute/whatever female protagonist.

    I feel the same way. I would rather play as a cute or pretty girl than a generic male if I had the choice. Male protagonists that are big, bulky, and muscular don't really identify with me.

    When I play a girl in a game, it's to annoy a friend of mine... Cause it's usually a multiplayer/ massive rpg thing and I strive to make my character as slutty as possible to annoy the bastard! Good memories... He'd get furious and I'd spew teenage girl garbage to annoy him even more, laughing my face off.
