Is it normal to play a ps vita in public (at my age)?

I just recently came into ownership of a PS Vita as there is at least one exclusive game on that system. Well I discovered that it doesn't come with a feature allowing you to play it on a larger screen. I figured since I'm gonna be playing a portable system looking at that little screen why just confine it to my house. The system is designed to be played on the go so why not play it on my public commute? Now I know that video games have been more or less normalized these past years. I'm just unsure wether or not it is exceptionally cringey for a man my age to be seen playing a Vita in public. I'll be turning 40. :(

Dude, just play it. I'm 28, I get looks from people for playing my Nintendo 3DS in public, and I really don't give a crap. What you do with your time is your business and yours alone. Only people with nothing else better to do get offended over it. Play your games, just use headphones if you're gonna, and enjoy.

....No, but it sure as fuck is "cringey" for you to ask such a terrible question =\.

To balance it out carry a 40 in a paper bag in the other hand and take a sip from it once in a while, and tell people you're only playing it cause you beat up some cringey guy and took it. That way they won't think you're a nerd.

What's worse is that a 40 year old is concerned over being 'exceptionally cringey'.
