Is it normal to plan your future?

I like to plan my future, college, marriage, kids stiff like that. My friend doesn't like it. I'm starting to think that I plan to much I will be disappointed by the ugly future when it's compared to my perfect dream future. Normal?

I was just like you... had everything all planned out. I had huge hopes and goals. What sucked was when I turned 25 and none of those goals were fulfilled. I felt like killing myself. But now I do have some of the things I wanted back then. Still not exactly where I want to be, but I guess I've learned to roll with it and to live for the day... though I still think about the future.

It's good to plan your future such as career and college but don't plan marriage and kids, let that just happen!

I'm a planner, too! Just leave room for reality and be flexible. Things change and things happen, just roll with it and keep planning.

  • Set good, in reach goals. Aiming high isn't always bad just don't be disappointed.
