Is it normal to pee in a bucket just to avoid people?

I've had some really horrific room mate experiences this year. It's been one horrible person after another. It was so bad I didn't even want to leave my room to go to the bathroom for fear of having to interact with someone. One day I decided to pee in the bucket I kept in my closet. At first it was humiliating but then I discovered that it was actually very convenient and time saving. I know this is weird but I'm not sure HOW weird. Any thoughts?

    I feel bad for you, but I would say that you should go to the bathroom. I have had a bad roomate before too. I would cry in my car before I would walk in my house cause I hated the situation so much. What you should be really concentrating on is not letting others affect you so much and start looking on craigs list or something for another place to live. Good luck, potty boy. (oh and for fun I'll tell you a story. WHen we were kids my sister and I had a two story play house that all the neighborhood kids would come to play at. Since my mom didnt want to let everyone in the house to pee and it was too much of a hassle to go home, we developed 'the pee bucket', just like you. It was really practical just like it is for you, until one day I came out side and realized that my sister had accidentally spilled it all down the stairs, jajajjajajajajajaaaaaa! be careful emptying it out!)

    It is perfectly normal and has been done since ancient times. Many noblemen and notabilities used to urinate in buckets. It may even predate the invention of the toilet!

    However, I recommend using large PET bottles for hygiene olfactory reasons.

    No offense, but this is gross to most of the population, but it makes more sense. We don't have to go into another room to pee. As long as you don't leave it there for a long time, I think it's fine.
