Is it normal to pay more for a dvd because you love the movie so much?

Yesterday I decided to buy one of my fav movies... But it was on amazon for just £1.00. I thought that was way too little for such an epic film with so much thought gone into the storyline and acting that I decided to buy the one for nearly £5 instead of £1. Normal? Do you do it?

Generally on sites like that stuff tends to be a lot cheaper than it normally would.

I definitely won't pay more for a movie just because it's good. I am a DVD collector, so I buy used DVDs for cheap so that I can grab multiple DVDs at once for a decent price. The only times I will pay a lot for a DVD is if a) it just came out on DVD and I want it really badly or b) it is a rare, out-of-print DVD

I rarely use Amazon to purchase anything. I don't mind paying more for something if I can purchase it from a local shop. I like going to the local used cd/dvd/game shop, make a few purchases, then a few months down the line I will sell the items right back to them. However, with so much entertainment available on the internet, I don't do this much anymore.
