Is it normal to only watch tv when the clock is at :00 or :30?

Whenever I start watching shows on Hulu or Netflix, I have to start at exactly on the hour or half past the hour. For some reason it makes me feel really uncomfortable watching shows during "uneven minutes" - which means anything except :00 or :30.

Is this normal?
