Is it normal to only eat two kinds of fruit

I am allergic to kiwi fruit (anaphylactic); my allergy developed when I was 15 and I had previously eaten kiwi fruit often, it once being one of my favourite fruits. I am concerned about eating any fruit that is not seasonal and therefore only eat bananas (I know they're not "technically" a fruit) which are available year round in Australia and apples because at least one variety of apple is available at any given point in the year. Also I have to eat avocado, which I don't count as a fruit in this situation because I use it as a spread, which has similar allergens to kiwi fruit.

I used to be extremely obsessive about what foods I ate due to severe allergies, but then I change my diet to 100% organic. Have you gotten a allergy test done? There's a British company that tests through blood and you can order their kits online. The test is the most through allergy test I've been able to find and they test for, I think, over 100 different foods (allergens).

How is banana "technically" not a fruit?

I think the op will tell you that its an herb. It both actually. A fruit and an herb but I'm sure you knew that already.

The banana fruit is undoubtably a fruit. The plant itself is technically an 'erb.

I know that's what i said! Sort of. Well you just make sure you tell the op when they get back here.

Seasonal has nothing to do with your allergy. You are actually allergic to a specific protein inside the kiwi fruit. You may or may not be allergic to a whole range of fruits, the only way to find out is to have a skin prick test with different fruits.

If I suffered anaphylaxis, I would be almost obsessive about what I eat. Have you had the allergy test on your arm which tells you exactly what you can and can't eat?
