Is it normal to only chug water bottles at a time?

I think it's mainstream for people take sips of water over a longer period of time. I usually wake up and Force myself to chug 1 and 1/2 water bottles in the morning , so I don't have to worry about being thirsty throughout the day. And if I do get a little thirsty I chug As much water as I can until I'm feeling sick Is this normal? (I think I might have a bad experience associated with being thirsty)

Btw the bottles 500 mL
I do have many memories from high school of me feeling unbearably dehydrated during sports.

If you have to force yourself and then feel sick, then it's obviously not a good idea, and by the way, I don't think you can avoid thirst or dehydration in advance.

Yeah it is but practice drinking 8 full glasses a day plus 3000-5000 calories a day+exercise and come back when you don't feel sick then I will be impressed.

I drink either Diet Coke or these little 300ml bottles of water at work. Sonetimes I'll chug but only if I'm coming back from break and realize its drink or dump. No liquid is allowed in the work area unless your my boss he always has a 1l bottle of water.
