Is it normal to only be attracted to anime boys, not real ones?

I dont have crushes on guys in real life, instead i have crushes on guys from the animes i watch. I love anime. Is it normal to feel like this?

How sad. You have certainly found a way to protect yourself from the good AND bad that being human means.
You might just as well be hooked up to a machine in some hospital in a vegetative state.
Time to pull the plug and return to reality, or just fade off into oblivion.

It does bring up an interesting philosophical point. What does make life worthwhile? If it's just the experiencing of things, then somebody inside a simulation where she bangs hot anime dudes all day would be living the high life.

If it's not experience that gives life meaning or value, then what is it? Is it the effect one has on the world around them? The trouble with this argument is that it comes back around to the first one. What is affecting the world around you? If you go to the middle of the woods and chop down a tree, then that might as well be just an experience that you have. Let's consider the alternative though. If you give a stranger a candy bar, what happens? You've ostensibly affected their experience. In this case, you could say that your assumption of the existence of another "experiencer" is what gives life meaning.
According to this second morality, one person hooked up to a simulation is leading a meaningless life, but two people doing it makes stuff worthwhile.

I'll throw in a third option, which is the one that it seems like you're presenting. In addition to the second stipulation being true, the individual also must obtain specific experiences, in this case romance with 'real' individuals, who are assumed to possess the capacity for experiencing.

I think the most important part of life is our interpersonal relationships with other people, good and/or bad. When we shield ourselves from these, because of a fear of hurt or injury, we lose much of what it means to be human. We become automatons, going through life's routines living an existence without any meaning or fulfillment.

If that's how you honestly feel I won't judge you. Just as long as you wouldn't consider these fictional guys potential boyfriends, or ignore someone you can actually have. But it's okay to fantasize when you're alone.

Normal, I'd say. It's just a preference, you're not hurting anybody with it.

It is your life and you can do whatever you like with it.

It's offensive to "Asian guys." But no worries anyway.

          • I get where the confusion comes from. I'm not talking about all Asian guys, I'm talking about the trend of Asian men who go by the term "herbivore men" who no longer find real women attractive and tend to find partners in anime pillow girls and so on. :P

Normal, lots of girls and guys have crushes on fictional characters. So do I And it hasn’t been a problem. I like Fluttershy from my little pony and anime girls are hott. The big busted ones too, :) anyways keep doing what’s your doing and try to make sure you know the difference between Reality and fantasy. But from the looks of it I think you know the difference.

Sadly, I keep reading about this. I am starting to getunpsympathetic and irritated. Geez oh Pete! You're only young once. Give some normal guy a try. I bet you're pretty average as well. Go do something.

You like what you like. Have you come across a guy that you were attracted to IRL? If not, that may be why.

Some anime characters are drawn in such a way that they DO look a lot better than plenty of men IRL.

    Normal to me.

I feel almost the same, I do find real guys attractive though (I'd say 40-60% of the time).
