..only when I'm extremely turned on? Let me provide some background information.

I had my first clitoral orgasm roughly two years ago with the aid of a vibrator. I basically couldn't orgasm using anything else, including my fingers. The vibrator broke (won't vibrate for whatever reason) so I began to improvise using the neutrogena "wave" face washing thing. I bought a cute back massager, I now use that.

But I find that when I watch porn and tease myself, I try to use my fingers to bring myself to orgasm but it rarely works. Something that really turns me on has to be on the screen or I have to hear some sort of moan that really gets me going in order for me to get off with my hand. I've only been able to climax using my fingers twice. Otherwise, vibration during masturbation is the only way I can "cum".

Is this normal?

    Normal. Though, a word of caution, prolonged use of vibrators can cause nerve damage.

    It sounds like the vibrator ruined other forms of masturbaiting for you. Women tend to get used to how a vibrator feels, and if you use it too much or too often, you won't be able to climax any other way.
    "Rubbing one out" may be easier to do if you don't use a vibrator (or back massager) for a month or two. Maybe go without masturbation all together for a month or two then try it.
