Is it normal to occassionally hate my friends?
When my friends tell me about their boy problems or whatever, in my mind I'm saying, "Good, you deserve this stuff happening to you. You're only seeking attetion."

I understand what you're saying.
I have negative thoughts about my friends too...
One of my buddy's told me she was pregnant and I asked her how and she said "well, we just didn't feel like using a condom". I thought "Yeah, then I can't feel sorry for you". I still can't, but I console her and I don't say anything to her about it.
Some of my friends just do dumb stuff, like DUI or getting caught with drugs and I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone if they are the direct cause of their own misfortune, but if that person is my friend and I like them, I don't mention it.
I like to keep my inner bitch to myself... irl.
Whenever anyone is annoying me, stranger or no, I always think,
"If just went apeshit right now you'd be in alot of trouble wouldn't you"
No one's perfect. Most people do get themselves into stupid situations and over react to trivial matters.
However, as a good friend, you should put aside the fact that they're being silly and be there for them and attempt to console or help them.
I dunno how much people "deserve" their problems, but yeah half the time they get themselves into problems. I don't get involved, either.
I am not a very good friend and I have to admit that sometimes I wish that no one considers me as a friend. But most often when they are in trouble and I know that they have done everything to get into it I just ignore them until things get better. By ignoring I mean I don't try to help or get involved in their issue but I still talk to them.
