Is it normal to obsess over my itunes library?

I'm really vain with my iTunes Library. I always try and make it as neat as possible. If I discover I have a song which is poor quality I force myself to either delete that song or replace that song with a better version. I also make sure all the album art is exactly the right colour of the actual artwork. I also work hard to find the artist info for every song on there, even if it's a video game or film soundtrack.

I just can't stop fussing with it, changing things around constantly to make things different and give me reasons to change it around more. I feel stupid and ashamed for not using iTunes as a music player and instead treating it as a music museum that has to be exquisite.

IIN? Does anybody else do the same with their library?

    i am the same exact way. i have close to 75,000 songs. i have spent weeks organizing my music library (though, i'm one of the seven people on the planet who uses Zune instead of iTunes.) every track must have pristine quality. none of the id tag info can be missing. all of the album art must be correct.

    i will happily admit that i am obsessive-compulsive and i have no life :-/

        yep I've been collecting for years and years. music is great, I love just about all of it!

    With iTunes and Zune your music has to be in order, otherwise it won't work quite right. I know it's annoying but that's the way digital music has become.

    woah 75,000!? is the government bringing you to jail for putting songs from limewire on your zune, or have you just wasted $75,000?

    i always make careful sure on my play count. :) i want my favourite songs to get in the top 25. system of a down, volbeat \m/
