Is it normal to notice this about is it normal recently?

For a while I was beginning to think Management were just allocating random numbers or re-allocating numbers that haven't been used for a while.

Where have you 'oldies' been? Lurking / away on holidays / bored and now returned?

Anyhow, is it normal that I noticed smaller identity numbers have been appearing recently?

I have a follow-up question: Who fucking cares?

You can only understand the present in the context of the past.

What's the difference between the two?

Second follow-up question: Who else likes to wax poetic about a petty microcosm in an immeasurable sea of more interesting things?

I personally haven't really noticed a "resurgance " of old members. I'm pretty sure that Management wouldn't reallocate either. If they are coming back, it's probably just coincidence. What do you count as an "oldie"?

  • How come some members have no numbers at all?

    • It means their account is not active anymore.

      • What do you mean? How can they post then? When does the account become inactive?

        • They can't post anymore. What you read is only things they wrote when their accounts were active. If someone gets banned or if you ask the IIN team to make it inactive. I don't know if there's more reasons for an account to become inactive. Wait for the management reply I guess.

It's not normal to pay attention to stupid stuff like IIN ID Numbers...

  • I'm not one of the old ones but not one of the new ones, I think I came a while after the known ones left, I wasn't around enough to know who the regulars were at the time. IIN is changing alot, not the site, the stories being posted. Perhaps they got bored.

This seems the most likely explanation. Even in my short time here the stories have changed a bit. I suppose the older members preffered the old style of stories and dissappeared with them.

I noticed exactly the same thing! When I started, there were some 30000's and 40000's but mainly people were 50000's like me. Then gradually 60000, 70000, and 80000's appeared. But now we're getting close to 90000, I see more and more 20000's and a couple around or below 10000 (dinzo and pooltoy, to name two).

I have no idea where these people have been, if they've just been lurking, or what made them come back. It's always interesting to hear the history of the site, though, and talking to dinzo is never anything less than fascinating.

The saucy guru above me has said where they've been. Maybe the other lowbies will comment too?
