Is it normal to not wear anything under a sundress?

I love the feeling of going out in a sundress with nothing under it, especially when it's really hot outside. Yesterday a (platonic) guy friend confessed that he had spent an hour checking out my butt, trying to figure out what kind of panties I was wearing. When I told him I wasn't wearing any he got kind of excited. He said that, for guys, it's the ultimate thrill to figure out that a girl isn't wearing panties but that he marked me as too "clean cut" to be the kind of girl who goes without panties even though I don't think he's ever seen me with a bra on. (He obviously doesn't know I'm a nudist, either.)

So my question is this: how common is it for a woman to go without panties under a sundress? I know guys love to try to figure it out (I catch them staring all the time!), but how often is it actually true?

For me, I just hate the feeling of having anything more than absolutely necessary on when it's hot. Panties and bras get sweaty and start to bind when it's warm, but wearing a soft, loose sundress in that kind of weather makes me feel sexy.

    Well he was wrong. I don't find that a turn on at all. If anything, panties under a summer dress on a pretty girl are more of a turn on for me to see than a naked vagina / butt.

    Because there's no such thing as a platonic guy friend, just idiots who are unaware that the "friend zone" doesn't help you get laid. I've had several friends who fell victim to this misconception, buddying up to girls and then wondering why it didn't work.

          I definately disagree with that! I'm a straight girl and I got several straight guy friends and we're nothing more than friends.

          Allright, I have to admit, some of them are friends with benefits. But still, they're friends and not lovers. Why would that be gay?

    I am a big supporter of the no-panties movement, but as long as you're not wearing a slip (and I'm sure you are not) and I can observe you backlit by sunlight, I don't really care if there are panties under there or not. I make it real simple by just assuming there are none and enjoying whatever I see.
