Is it normal to not wanting to respond to "ily"

If someone writes "Ily" to me, I get really frustrated and wonder why do people use that stupid abbreviation. I don't think it's sincere at all. I rarely ever respond to it. Is this normal?

    What does it mean? The ones that get me are LMAO. ROFL. People that type 'wat' instead of 'what' 'nd' instead of 'and' my all time favourite annoyance is 'WUBU2??' god my blood boils!!!

    1. That is such a weak phrase in the first place.
    2. It's made even weaker by abbreviating it.

    Lol seems so fake. If you can't even spell the three words, there's a problem. Something you don't mention that bothers me is when the other person has to say it after you and says ily2 or too.

      WUBU2 means "what u been up to". I hate this one too because even the abreviation is wrong. It should be wybu2.
