You don't need to shave them, but I think most women would appreciate a little bit of work down there (i.e. trimming or neatening).

Some like it long, some like it short and some like it shaved. It all depends on the girls opinion. I shave but that's my gf's opinion and preference. Girls probably won't find it weird either way. Just ask.
