I am a girl who really doesn't want a wedding. I would love to
someday get married, but the idea of a BIG wedding seems like a waste of money. I love attending wedding especially big ones but for myself I would rather have a small intimate ceremony and use the money for a really nice honeymoon or house. Btw I have always been an attention hog, which makes it even more weird.

    My hsband and I had a city hall wedding with 4 people there and we just went to a nice resteraunt after for our reception. We are still happpily married after 10 years.

    You are normal, and smart.

    If you have to go into debt to have a wedding, then your wedding is based on a fraud of extravagance. Why people actually want that, is beyond me.

    Congratulations. You haven't been brain washed by the wedding industry. You won't turn into bridezilla. It will be a peaceful, stress-free & intimate occasion. And you won't throw yourself & family into a huge debt.

    I think a small wedding is perfect whats the point of going into debt just so you can have one night of fun. I personally think that people who think they need a huge wedding arent confident in their love or marrige which will probably lead to a divorce in the near future.

    Anyways it's actually normal to want a smaller wedding. I myself would hate a huge wedding. I never understood people who drop a crapload of money on just the dress alone, not to mention the rest. I say do what you are happy with. And what you can afford.

    There were 12 people at my wedding, including my husband and I. It was wonderful.
