Is it normal to not want to be seen until youre fully groomed?

I like to wait until the coast is clear before I head to the bathroom to brush hair, teeth, wash face etc. and of course dress and put my glasses on. but I hate anyone seeing me beforehand as I don't feel right until im fully washed and look presentable, hair perfect and fully dressed, you'd never see me going around in my underwear unless its an empty house. am I just vain?

What are you afraid of? This doesn't sound healthy, although I'm saying that because it seems like you cannot look ugly or natural. This could cause problems, I believe, especially when you decide to live with your significant other.

It depends on who is seeing you. If I were your "significant other" and it was a lazy Saturday with no plans, I'd be encouraging you to run around the house in your underwear with messy hair and I'd be chasing you dressed the same way! I think couples need to relax and have fun like that.

Well, it sure is not convenient, but it's normal. In my opinion, girls in the morning (no make-up, sleepy eye and post apocaliptic hair) is super cute, I keep saying that to my girlfriend but she is a bit like you xD I think it same for guys too. So just don't make a big deal out of it, but you have the right to be shy or uncomfortable too.

I agree with kawaiigurl, you just sound self concious which is normal. Also from the sound of it, it just sounds like a preference, not a crippling fear.
