Is it normal to not want to answer repeats of the same question?

This site seems to have a lot of variations, or repeats even the exact same question rewritten multiple times. You can answer the same question 100 times and it will still be asked by more people. is it normal to just start skipping them? Since you know you answered that same question several times before?

Yes I have 24
Yes but I never skip them 10
No and its wrong to skip them 4
other 1
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

    Yes.

This was one of the criticisms I made on another poll - that old posts disappear into the depths of the archives, and oblivious users submit the same questions endlessly.

A solution would be to make the search bar central and dominant on the homepage, and to encourage users to use it first and foremost, before they even click to submit a post. Have it under the Is It Normal logo instead of the "Ask Your Question Today!"

Yeah, which is why I don't comment as often as I used to.

Yes, but for some reason I just did.

  • Because they're all fake and derived of one another.

People make their questions up while reading other questions, the patterns are obvious.

That's why I troll so much, you know the OP is full of shit, so you feed them shit.

No one is forcing you to answer them.

I don't see why people don't just skip em. It's pretty easy.
Besides, don't people like reading the comments to those stories? They sure like posting the comments. We all need something to complain about.

    • Well you could skip them. However some of these repeat questions are infuriating. To a point it becomes depressing. Since you want to help these people but no one is learning from the previous same mistakes.

As they say "Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it". These people refuse to pay attention and its sad seeing people make the same stupid fucking mistake 100 times. No one pays attention!!!

Its like having a classroom of 20 kids and when they grab the chalk they get shocked. However it takes 19 bloody students for the last one to say "I will not touch the shock". Makes you just want to smack the fuck out of people. Since clearly some need this kind of stuff beaten into their skulls to understand.

If 20 people ask "Is it normal I am dating a rapist and have 3 kids from a previous marriage" you are going want to answer that. However after 10 times answering it just gets really upsetting. Since you want to help them! You feel a need to help them. You just don't want to repeat the same bull shit over 10 times. Since some of this stuff should be clear and its not!

I could probably repeat some of the same jokes I've used on repeat stories from a year ago and i bet nobody would know.
