I'm a 30 year old guy and I just met this girl who was cool. We went on a date and she came home with me in a couple hours. We messed around and did everything except she really wanted to have sex with me and I didn't. It just seemed like because we had just met, even though we had a really nice physical conersation, it would be too much.
Sure it’s normal. Not every guy is on the verge of exploding in their pants.
generally if you are seeking a relationship or some type of personal connection, its really not hard to say no to sex on the first time. I mean you want to like them first right?

I'd say this is perfectly normal. One of my golden rules in dating is "no sex on the first date". If the girl is willing to sleep with me so suddenly, I have to ask myself, how many other guys has she thrown herself at? It isn't worth it. I like to feel like I earned the physical connection, I don't want it handed to me. When a woman is fine with waiting, it says a lot about her, and I believe the same is true of us guys. Its simply a sign of self control, and respect, which is a very admirable quality in a partner, it signifies trust right from the beginning.

well, you seem to have a deeper grasp of love, affection and what it means to be together with soemone... statistically very not normal... however, it is GOOD.

I think it's normal. Depends on what you mean by "want to". I usually WANT to have sex if things are going well ona first date, but I never actually do it...especially if I like a guy. If I don't, well, I have in the past because I don't care what happens.
So you obviously were turned on by her so everything is normal there...maybe you are just more mature than you used to be, or some ppl are, or just different. I think a lot of girls would find you really sweet and rare.
Perfectly normal I think more guys then you would think want to at least know a girl a bit before they have sex with her. Its just thats its not the kind of thing you say to your friends.
