Is it "normal" to not want other people to touch my stuff?

I am a bit possessive of my electronics, like my PSP Go.

I will let others use them, but I get antsy, thinking, "Please be careful." in my head.

For example, my little brother loves to play Lego Indiana Jones on my Xbox 360, but he's not allowed to touch the controller until I inspect his hands to make sure that they're free of dirt; kids are sticky.

Also, I get annoyed when my stuff gets scratched, even slightly. I know that, as long as it works, it shouldn't matter, but I feel that the look of it is "ruined" in a sense.

I just can't trust others to treat my gadgets the way that I would.

Am I nutty?

It's a lack of respect to treat other people's expensive things roughly.

It's always children that make me think this, especially with electronics. My room is filled with them so I just lock the door if anyone is nearby. Similar to the way I don't lend people my games, to me everyone else just doesn't treat them with respect(always have scratches on them).

Not out of the ordinary at all, I'm the same way to an extent.

    Gadgets are made to break!
Use them, break them, move on.
They are not sensitive possessions that must be held in cotton gloves for years on end, until they're out of date.
Note: WHEN it breaks, that's normal and not anyone's fault. They are meant to be used.
