Is it normal to not want friends?

I am in high school and I have like 4 friends and that's it.. Out of those 4, only 2 are close friends. But I don't want anymore. And I try to avoid meeting new people at school. Outside of school is a different story. But also I don't want to do things like most people in my grade do like go out on the weekends and hang out with friends everyday and after school, I just want to be home and I just had spring break and spent it all with family. Also I don't want to participate in any after school sports or clubs. But it's not like I wanted to and I can't because I have no friends.. I just don't want to, is this normal?

There is nothing wrong with being introverted. However, not everyone is as brainwashed as you may think. By limiting the amount of people that you allow into your life you limit how much opportunities you have to improve as an individual. I understand that people can be annoying but not everyone you meet is going to cause you harm. I'm not saying to break out of your shell, but merely do not limit the people that will enter your life and the moments that will escape you due to it.

If you're happy with the people with then that's all that matters

If they were real friends trust me you would rather hang out with them then be alone.
