Is it normal to not want a slut as a girlfriend?

I once heard that the biggest turn off for women is to find out that her man is not respected at work and that the biggest turn off for men is to find out that their lady is a "slut".

I think it's normal. I don't think any man would be happy if he found out the woman he loves (not just wants to sleep with) has a HUGE sexual history.

To be frank, i like this, it's refreshing to see. However being a woman myself i know what it's like at that sort of age, where you move out of home and a lot of things are now legal- you tend to want to test the boundaries. But i agree, the media put a lot of pressure onto both women and men to behave in a certain way and usually in reference to sex and sexual attraction (female models are more and more often depicted nude or nearly so)and most women feel they need to behave this way to feel attractive to the opposite sex. (And at this age there are rarely women confident enough to feel beautiful without some reassurances... even the most modest.) Though it's not just the media that should take all the credit, this behaviour is conditioned! I've seen it myself- the less you wear and the more you 'put out' the more male attention you get! Hardly fair, and for all the wrong reasons, but they're still young. Most likely they'll grow out of this behavious as they grow older.

unfortunately woman's lib has taken a bit of a wrong turn, I see what you are describing it seems to that their is a period of time in a woman's life that doing a lot of drinking, flashing of the breasts, and sleeping around is considering normal of not essential. I don't think that this type of behavior is liberating for anybody. you are just going to have to get creative to find a girl, try church maybe, the christian book store, if you don't want a religious chick then I guess I am running short on suggestions. The only options would be women too focused on schooling or career to want to be partying.

a lot of girls are very nice and quiet on the outside but inside and behind closed doors they are crazy dirty sluts..nothing wrong with that..

Yes, it is very normal for a guy to want to be in a relationship with a slut. Girls who are sluts have shown the world that they don't respect themselves, cannot control themselves, and have issues with intimacy. They also don't value sex much, cheapening it.

Guys want to use sluts for what they are....sluts. But when a guy wants a girlfriend, the last girl he wants is the slut.

Quite frankly, I don't care what they've done, and I won't ever judge them for it. The only time I really care is when it carries over into our relationship, and ends up ruining it because of cheating or completely throwing romance out the door and only wanting sex, and that seems to be the case more often than not. I'm not saying I want a perfect virgin woman who's never been on a date in her life, in fact, that's not anything of what I want, I just want someone who has enough self worth that they don't let the world bring them down to an overly-promiscuous level where they think sex is everything. And that seems to be entirely the opposite of what I ever find.

Actually, the biggest turn off for women is for a man to be so insecure that he wants to know EVERY single time she's ever kissed a man. A woman wants a secure man not an insecure man. Secondly, being obsessed with a girls period romantic history is abnormal, and not normal at all. It's a psychological problem. Men who are insecure because their current girlfriends loved someone before they met them usually tend to become controlling and abusive. In fact, having a dating history before meeting the current boyfriend is not an issue unless that man has psych problems. The same thing applies to women, women who are obsessed with who a man dated before her are unstable. It all has to do with sexual insecurity.

Don't you think that comes across as being a tad bit judgemental to call girls that don't take your point of view 'sluts'? It's all a matter of perspective. Girls are girls.
