Is it normal to not understand how to play league of legends?

I've tried playing it 6 times. Each time I unninstaled it after like 3 days of playing because I just don't get how the hell does it work and tried again after few months. It seems like I'm only person with this problem but I really want to play it since it looks like fun game. Did anyone else have this problem or I'm just idiot? I play a lot of MMORPG games so it shouldn't be so hard but still...

    The main aim of the game is to kill the enemy, not die (feed) and to get assists.

    Attack damage carry champs (ADC) should get the kills becuase they need more gold to 'carry' the team. Supports usually get more assists (when you the help the ADC kill the enemy.)

    kills/deaths/assists

    good score= 10/1/7 or 4/0/17 etc..
    Bad score= 0/5/1 or 3/9/0

    To win you need to destroy the turrets (big towers that shoot you and minions if you get to close) The minions attack the tower but dont do as much damage as champions.

    The turret will attack minions before it attacks you so you can shoot it down until it kills all the minions on your team around it.

    You have to protect your turrets too. They are good to hide behind if you are low on health and are about to get killed.

    The turret also attacks you if you attack the enemy beside it or too close to it. Just run away until you are out of range and then go back if you want.

    There are 3 turrets in each lane to detroy. Then in the enemy base there is an inhibitor which also needs to be destoyed (makes your minions bigger and stronger)

    Then there are 2 more turrets beside the big crystal thing (Nexus.) It'll be either blue or purple. When you destroy that, you have won.

    In total there are 11 turrets on each team. 3 inhibitors and 1 nexus! :)

    Each time you die you have to wait a cerain amount of time. The more you die the longer youhave to wait to come back to life i think. Or it may be the longer the game has been going on, the longer you have to wait.

    If you press B anywhere in the map you will flash back to your base (recall). It takes about 5 seconds though and if you get attacked in that time you cant recall and you will have to try again with no interruption.

    You can only buy items when you are in your base.

    It took me so long to figure out how everything works but when you get into it, its a really good game.

    Basicly - 5 people in a team
    2 go bottom lane
    1 in middle lane
    1 top and 1 jungler
    OR 2 in top lane

    Typicly an attack damage champ goes bottom lane (bot) with a support champion that heals them.

    mid lane can be attack damage champ or ability power (magic damage) i think

    Top can be a anyone except support i think. Such as a tank which is a stronger champ with more armor but may not do as much damage.

    There are minions (little blue or purple people) and you have to kill them for gold.. you only get the gold if you get the last hit on them. You use gold to buy items that make you better (increase your attack speed, damage, armor etc..)

    Examples..

    (attack damage) Ashe shoots arrows so she is ranged and uses mana every time she shoots. Her arrows can slow the enemy if she hits them. Her ultimate ability (press R) shoots a giant arrow that can travel the whole way across the map.

    (support) Sona heals her team mates and can increase their speed. Her ultimate stuns and does magic damage. She is ranged too.

    (Jungler) Amumu does magic damage and is not ranged. It is the jungler's job to kill monsters in the jungle for gold and to help people in lanes (gank.)

    Some champs are known as skill shot champs because you control where you shoot or attack. Others automaticly attack the enemy by pressing Q W E or R. Sona is auto attack but Ashe is a skill shot champ.

    You can go on Mobafire.com to find out what items to buy for what champion and where to go.

    You can choose 2 spells before entering the game. People usually choose 'flash' which meens you can go through a wall or flash away really quickly if attacked.

    Some choose Heal which makes your health go up. Others choose ignite which does more damage when cast on the enemy. Junglers pick smite because it does extra damage only to monsters in the jungle.

    The jungle is dark so you cant see any of the enemy if they are in there so you can buy wards. you can place wards anywhere you want in the dark area or bushes and they will show any enemy champ that passes them.
