Is it normal to not understand foot fetishes?

It's called a fetish because it is unusual and doesn't make sense to most people.

You know, I have tons of fetishes; outragous, illegal, crazy, but the one thing I could never understand is a foot fetish. I feel the same way as you. Feet are so ugly on both men and women. They smell and are just plain disgusting. How can anyone have a fetish for them?! But hey, I guess people like what they like.

I didn't understand them in the slightest so, like you, I asked. The explanation I was given is that a submissive likes to feel "below" the person dominating them (in terms of power, but also sometimes literally, hence people kneeling, bending over, crawling on all fours, going on the bottom during sex, etc.)

The foot is the lowest part of the dom/domme's body so being under that somehow, or paying it attention, is the pinnacle (or nadir) of what can be done.

I don't know if this is true, but it did make some sense.

I have a foot fetish... And I'm going to explain this as best as I can, but it's hard to explain why you are sexually attracted to something. Like if you're a straight male, it would be hard to explain why you think breasts are attractive to a straight woman. Anyway, I will just try to explain the characteristics of feet I like... I like when they are soft, when they have long toes, high arches, and I like when feet in high heels because it make the arches look higher. And there are different types of foot fetishes too. Some like smelly feet, some like feet crushing fruit, but I'm neither of those, and I completely don't understand that. It's normal to not understand it, but I think some people need to learn that we are not all creepy, and we're usually just normal people. People are always talking about how they accept gay people, then they say they think people with foot fetishes are gross.

Feet aren't the most sanitary body part and they aren't attractive at all so I think it's normal.

I don't umderstand any fetishes at all.

I myself do not have a foot fetish, however I can relate to guys who find feet attractive. I have thought about this and I personally think that a big part of the attraction is the fact that normally the feet of women are covered when they are in public. I guess this adds a lot to the excitement when a guy who is into feet sees them because he normally just wouldn't.

Personally I am not turned on by feet but I do feel it is a turn-off when a woman has hairy, strangely-shaped or very 'rough' feet, but the same applies to hands.

By the way I have always found it funny that you see muslim women going around with their headbands which protect them from guys finding them attractive while they often do expose their feet..

I find feet a bit strange too. I guess people like it because it's taboo, *because* it's disgusting.

Foot fetish would have to be the strangest body part fetish there is!

Tickling feet seems to be fun and possibly a 'sexy' thing to do? But actually just a fetish on the foot itself, so much so that some ask to see your feet? No idea its just strange. They must get totally orgasmic at beaches!

I have quite a few fetishes, but I've never understood the foot fetish. Dappled made a great point, but not all foot fetishists seem to be "submissive". I find it strange and creepy. I saw a episode of true life called "I have a fetish" and one of the people on there had a foot fetish. I don't think he ever specified why he liked feet so much and I was really creeped out how he would go up to random women and ask if he could message their feet and would even nibble on them!

The only foot fetishist that I've met in real life was a creepy boy that would always be in the magazine section of a grocery store. Every time someone would pass by the aisle he would ask if he could see their feet. He scared me with his propositions to me and he freaked out allot of other people too!

I really don't get it. I think the foot is the most disgusting part of the body and I can't see the "obsession and attraction to it"... I don't really understand Hand Fetish that much either, but it certainly makes allot more sense than Foot...

I know two people with foot fetishes but I don't know why they do. I've asked before but he didn't know either.

I have this thing for Sloth from The Goonies, Beetlejuice and orcs. I'm not sure why though so I guess I havent been much help. XD
