Is it normal to not tell your other every single thing about you?

Who says we have to tell everything about ourselves in a relationship! Full self disclosure is for dumb people! Your ex gf must have been dumb.

I don't think just because you get into a relationship means you are required to give up all personal information. I wouldn't tell my partner the intimate details of my sexual past...why is that required? It depends on what the secrets are, I guess.

I think u should be open an honest with your partner or u risk hurting them when they do find out.

To answer the specific question at the end "Is it common for guys to keep more secrets than girls?" no. Both keep secrets. It is normal to keep secrets, but as georgienne pointed out it is not desirable.

Depends what it is, this doesn't work as a vague question.
In my mind, as a partner in a relationship you're prepared to answer-all, not to sit down and explain every tiny detail if yourself, but when something's asked you answer it. This uncovers distrust and miscommunication, so I like it.
