Is it normal to not tell your bf a personal secret

I am scared for my relationship with my bf to progress bec I don't want to be vulnurable and share who I really am. I have had plastic surgery and I take medication every day for a minor (controlled) mental disorder. These are some personal secrets I haven't shared with anyone, not even my siblings or best friends, and I don't want to tell my boyfriend so I purposely try to be distant and therefore I've never had a real long lasting relationship
is it normal to not tell your bf a personal secret?

I take meds to control my uncontrollable farting issues.

Thanks mando. You're right. I am constantly guilt-ridden over keeping secrets from him even though they really aren't as debilitating as I act but I know that these are things that our society looks down at and I don't want him to look at me differently.

It's perfectly normal behaviour. But this could lead to a devastating misunderstanding. If your careful, than he won't find out. But if your careless, he may find out your hiding something from him. If he's anything like me, his DOUBTS* will cloud his logic and he'll suspect the worst. Or at least something worse than dementia or surgery. There are way worse things to be ashamed of, and humans have an inquisative nature. I think the surgery may be harder to hide, but may be more offputting. I'm pretty everyone except me is crazy.

Depends on how close you want to be. Some people can be really good confidants. I know it's scary to let people in, but keeping a secret can be just as hard to maintain.

It's your business, but why do you keep secrets from your best friend? I don't know your family but it seems odd to keep secrets from siblings. They are often a built in support system for personal issues.

It's some dude you met somewhere and now you decide to exchange slobber with him from time to time. I don't see what YOUR business has to do with that. His job is to sit there and look pretty, not to know all of your business!

So pretty much you changed your look and you are crazy(possibly only slighty)?

I hope you never forget your meds, cause if you do he'll think you are crazy. Now if you open up and be honest about it, he may be able to see past it and help you.

    Your choice..,
