Is it normal to not tell her?

My mother was widowed early, i was two when he died my mother began to date again and as i got older so did I. I went out one night and got drunk and had a one night stand with a guy. Let me tell you it was amazing we did things that i cant even describe. Anyway a couple of years later she began to date this guy well turns out he has a son. We all went out for dinner and it was him, the one night stand guy. I was shocked i didn't eat or sleep or talk for the next couple of weeks. I basically kept my distance as long as i could. But a couple of days ago my mom told me they were getting married. I dont know if i should tell her. So is it normal to not want to tell her? This is a last resort i just need more than three peoples opinions.

    I would keep your mouth shut. Do not tell her about anything that happened. You did not see a point in pursuing it so it can not be that important. Even if you are hurt by this I would say not ruin your mothers happiness. It is too late anyways you could have stopped this awhile ago.

    If it is bothering you then tell her. If it was just seriously a one night stand and nothing more. Who cares it's in the past.

    I think you should tell. You guys are going to be a family and it seem like the one nigth stand guy is going to be around a lot. You can barely act normal around them so exactly how do you think you are going to be able to keep from tell anyone. When it comes to lies and secrets the earlier it comes out he better. If you tell her now she would understand, but if you wait till it spills all over your perfect sunday dinner get togethers, then she is going to be pissed.

    I think that you should tell her nothing. It was just an adventure as most of us had had some time or another in our life.

    It could be ok talk with him he might not even remember it happen if drink was involved. But really does it matter? Sometimes sex is just sex unless now u want more?
