Recently, i've noticed how much it annoys me when people say they're a "killjoy" or a "belieber". In my opinion, if you're labelling yourself based on liking a single musical artist/band, then really, you should find something deeper about yourself to define yourself, if you insist on a label. Is this normal? :P

I think you misunderstand about the killjoys, it's not just a label thing, it's kind of a worldwide fantasy fiction thing based off My Chem Romance's newest album.
It's like when someone plays an online multiplayer RPG and they choose a alter-ego, it's just a bit of fun, an escape from reality for a little while and a perfect opportunity to be creative.
It's hard to explain but it's like a promotional project that fans can become involved in.
And I did create my own killjoy character but believe me, I do not use that as my actual identity, I know perfectly well who I am.
If they want to label themselves by their music taste, they should at least choose a whole music genre/style instead of just one band.
