Is it normal to not sit down on a toilet bowl when peeing?

I'm female and even at home, I feel grossed out by the thought of my butt cheeks being where my relatives just were and where possible pee and poo remanence once was..so I squat to pee. Is this normal? I started doing this at a young age and it's something I still do.

    When I was in Vietnam we had out houses. The paint was worn off the sides on the seats from the gooners standing on the seats and squatting.. You always had to clean the seat before going yourself..

    Russian girls pee like that. Some Indian girls who are used to a squat toilet do it too when using a western toilet.

    maybe you should take 2 minutes a day to wipe, and sanatize your toilet seat. it might help you feel better at the thought of possible fecal matter on the seat.

    I came to your house and whipped poo all over your house. If you want to be scared of something gross be afraid of your phones and doorknobs those are the two dirtiest things in your hows.

    I prefer to sit, it's just more comfortable, and I either clean the seat off first, if it's at home, or I use one of those seat covers. However I have heard a few friends of mine discussing how they never actually sit down on the seat and instead squat over it, so it is normal.

    no its totally normal I rarely sit n d toilet...mostly just wen im drunk=D .... whats d point n whats d point in wastin time cleanin d seat.. ur not gonna get it totally clean... i lift up both the lid n d seat n pee like that!lol

    wanna here a funny story? 1st a friend of mine wanted to shave his balls but he was to lazy to do it the normal way so he took a lighter and set the hair on fire. he thought it will just melt away but NOOOOOO the hair caught fire and now he got scars on his balls and penis.....

    lol im the same way , but i have got in habit to clean the seat every time before i sit on it, i usually use those wet tissues.

    Put toilet paper on the seat, that way you dont get the remanence touching you. Also, Its not cold when you sit on it.

    I think it's normal for females to sort of squat while peeing in a strange toilet. My wife does this. She would totally freak if she was forced to sit on a strange or public toilet. As for guys, we'll either wipe the seat with toilet paper or carry a rag in there to clean it up a bit. Some of us just don't give a fuck and sit and do our business. And that's normal too.
