Is it normal to not shower for three days?

Is it normal to just avoid showering for three days, if you know that you aren't going to leave the house or see anyone and if you don't do any exercise?

You think not showering for three days is bad?
Well when I was going through a bad patch of depression I didn't shower for a week and a half. I kid you not.

Sounds pretty normal. If you live in a colder climate, like San Francisco or some place where it snows, then you could probably go even longer. Although, applying some deodorant might not hurt, either :)

Totally normal! I am living at a new place right now and as I have roommates I'm always showering cause I don't want them to think I'm gross or anything :P But this is one of the reasons I miss living at my parent's house the most! I had more freedom there =) I totally wouldn't shower for days (about two or three) if I wasn't going out. It happened during vacations mostly. I also used to not shower on fridays since I didn't have school on Saturday morning lol
It's totally normal. People on the past century used to shower like about once every three months. And It's not like we're going to public places or forcing people to be near us. We're just at home, alone at our bedrooms. Enjoying laziness lol

    Buckshot is right. >>

I do that too, over school break or w/e I don't shower, but I get bad ass dandruff, and I'd rather shower every other day than lean my head over in the bath tub just to wash my hair.

Depends on how funky you are, I have a friend he has to shower twice daily to keep from smelling, he piles on deodorant and cologne. I can not shower for three days and not smell. Just be sure you hit the four key areas, armpits, asshole, crotch and teeth.

  • It depends on how clean you like to be.

Just because you don't leave the house or exercise, doesn't mean you aren't getting "dirty". As long as you are pooping, peeing, and existing, bacteria, oils and dead skin are piling up on your body.

I don't think you're going to die from not showering daily because our ancestors didn't and they survived. However, with modern technology and standards, most would consider a daily shower normal.

I find this completely abnormal. Does no one blanch or flee when you sit beside them? How can this go on?

The poster said that they don't shower when they will be at home alone. Please learn to listen.
