Is it normal to not notice i'm getting hit on.

I’m coming up to thirty now and everyone is in a relationship of one form or another. I used this site before and thanks to a few of you I found out that I may be Asexual. Thing is for some time now friends have been banding together and having a talk with me, not all at the same time mind. Turns out on my facebook posts, when out down the bar, on days out, women have been coming up to me and asking me questions or making comments. Seems normal right? Well the thing is everyone knows the women are hitting on me, they are saying things that mean they want some “me” time. Thing is I have no clue, I will literally respond as if they were a friend or a stranger. Thing is men do it too, they hit on me and I have no clue they are doing it, I just think they are being creepy. Recently I have had a friend’s sister respond to my Valentine’s Day joke. She said how she would be happy with a simple at home meal and cuddle up, I responded normally. She then responded to my comment that I will find a woman who is just happy with a home meal and cuddle. Yea... swing-and-a-miss. Took a friend to point out the obvious. is it normal to not notice I'm getting hit on?

  • I don't notice when I am being hit on either, mainly because I have self esteem problems. I feel I am not worthy to be hit on and anyone who does "hit on me" is just being nice.

I actually have self-esteem issues too =) My username, Cellbiologyphiliac, stems from the fact that I LOVE studying Cell biology in college =) I think that it's so cool how a seemingly simple cell could be so complex and be a component in keeping an organism alive =)

This is normal because the same thing happens to me all the time (except I don't have members of the same sex wanting to "get it on"). I'm currently in a relationship with a man much older than me and we have a child together, but even before I started going with him, I had random dudes come up to me all goo-goo eyes and what'not. I just don't give a shit because I'm far too busy with more important things that that. Maybe you don't notice because you're like me and don't care to notice?
