Is it normal to not miss my sister in college

I don't miss people ever. My sister who is really cool and one of my closest friends will leave for college for months at a time and i will never think about her unless she calls or texts me. I feel kinda bad cuz she always tells me she misses me and I can't honestly say the same back to her even though i Really do love her. She simply doesnt cross my Mind when She's goneI've never actually felt the feeling of missing someone. Is this normal.

    my sister just went to college too i dont really miss her either but like yeah

    I get the same way. I could be away from my family for weeks or months and not miss them. It's only upon returning do I realize how much I missed them.

    I'm going to say its not normal only because I miss my sister...a lot. But I do understand that its just like that for some.

    Im at university (british) and i did not anticipate how much i miss my family. Like a fundamental part of me is missing.
